Join the members of Honest Alley Exchange on Friday, January 28, at 4:00PM for the official ribbon cutting ceremony of Honest Alley’s latest tenant, The Emporium.

The Emporium “is an eclectic selection of personal products, home decor and the Lawrenceville Fresh Mart and Cafe”, writes Cynthia Sutt in a recent article about the latest Historic Lawrenceville attraction. Located on the garden level of Honest Alley Exchange, at the corner of Crogan and Chestnut, The Emporium space is home to a variety of vendors each bringing their unique style and flare to a shopping experience that truly has Something for Almost Everyone.

The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 4:00PM and will be followed by refreshments and music, as well as demonstrations by the Lawrenceville Fresh Mart and Café and fellow vendors.

About The Emporium:

The Honest Alley Exchange Partners renovated this early 20th Century structure and opened the doors of Honest Alley exchange in 2007. The partners identified a two-fold need in our community and, thinking outside the box, created The Emporium that would bring more visitors to the Square, provide a unique shopping experience and give start-up businesses an incubator to launch new products.

The partners want to provide a wide variety of shops for the residents and visitors of Lawrenceville. The Historic Square in Lawrenceville provides an unique shopping, dining and entertainment experience for everyone, and The Emporium at Honest Alley Exchange adds another layer to this experience.

In addition to creating a new shopping experience, there is also a need for start-up, retail establishments to get a foot-hold. The Honest Alley Partners think of The Emporium as an incubator: a well-managed environment where a budding retail enterprise can put down roots and establish a customer base. The Emporium provides entrepreneurs who have developed high-end, innovative retail concepts, a place to take their first steps into the marketplace.

This is also a great opportunity for the more seasoned retailer to launch new concepts or expand their lines without the cost of opening a facility on their own. The central cashier allows The Emporium to be a second space without the hassle of hiring and managing additional staff.
